All new pesticides and formulations are tested to establish the type of toxicity and the dose necessary to produce a measurable toxic reaction. At SA-FORD there are strict & extensive testing procedures. Since different species of animals respond differently to pesticides, a new pesticide is generally tested in different rodents to observe the level of toxicity.

The results of these toxicity tests are used to predict the safety of the new pesticides to humans. At SA-FORD we have facility and expertise that are experienced, capable of performing and monitoring such toxicity studies and its hazards.

Insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, mosquito repellents and other types of biocides are being tested at SA-FORD Laboratory as per OECD, OPPTS guidelines.
